Governance Framework
The INFINIT Foundation envisions a progressive path toward decentralized governance. Governance will be introduced in structured phases, designed to evolve alongside the protocol’s technical maturity and user adoption. This framework prioritizes alignment between protocol stakeholders while preserving ecosystem stability.
Governance participation is granted to IN stakers, who will be able to propose and vote on decisions across three core domains:
Q3 2025 - Phase 1: Protocol Fee Governance
IN stakers will gain authority to govern fee-related parameters, including:
Tiered execution fees based on the number of agent steps per strategy
Allocation of protocol fees between Strategy Creators and INFINIT
Initial configuration:
0.2% for 0–4 step strategies
0.35% for 5–8 steps
0.5% for 9+ steps
50% of fees allocated to Strategy Creators; 50% to INFINIT
Q4 2025 - Phase 2 : Agent Onboarding into INFINIT Agent Swarm
INFINIT stakers will be able to propose and vote on the addition of new DeFi agents. These agents serve as DeFi execution units that integrate with external protocols to expand the platform's utility.
Proposal
IN stakers may submit a proposal to add a new DeFi agent. The Foundation expects that many proposals will originate from core contributors of individual DeFi protocols, L1s, or L2s who seek to integrate their systems with INFINIT in order to increase accessibility and transaction volume through INFINIT’s AI-powered 1-click execution.
Voting
Once a proposal is submitted, it is subject to a community vote. To ensure alignment, proposers—particularly protocol teams—are encouraged to mobilize their own communities to hold and stake IN in support of the proposal. Approval requires reaching the necessary quorum and majority conditions as defined in the governance process.
Q1 2026 - Phase 3: Strategy Inclusion
INFINIT stakers will be able to propose and vote on the inclusion of new multi-agent DeFi strategies. These 1-click strategies combine multiple DeFi agents to coordinate interactions across various protocols, streamlining complex workflows into a single transaction.
Proposal
Any IN staker may propose a new 1-click DeFi strategy. Each strategy must be technically feasible within the agent execution layer and aligned with INFINIT’s AI coordination model. Proposals may come from:
Core contributors of L1s, L2s, or DeFi protocols who wish to drive usage of their systems through INFINIT
Power users or sophisticated DeFi participants seeking to automate custom workflows
Strategy proposals must be detailed enough to outline the intended user flow, target protocols, and desired outcomes.
Voting
Once submitted, each strategy proposal will be subject to governance voting. Proposers are expected to align with their protocol communities and encourage IN staking to support the proposal. Approval requires reaching the established quorum and majority thresholds defined by INFINIT Governance.
Adaptive Roadmap
The governance rollout is designed as a living framework, refined through real usage, contributor feedback, and evolving network dynamics. Each phase serves to validate governance mechanics and deepen community participation before expanding the protocol’s decision-making surface.
The Foundation will continue to guide governance development with a focus on long-term resilience, inclusivity, and operational clarity.
